DAY OF THE DEAD PARADE 2016
Pal’ Panteón Segment:
Fiesta y Algarabía
GENERAL DIRECTION AND PRODUCTION

SEGMENT: PAL’PANTEON, PARTY AND JOY

In the Day of the Dead Parade, the company sought to highlight national pride, reconnect with the depth, richness of ancestral tradition and the importance of being part of these rituals. This celebration is an invitation for Mexicans to take back the Day of the Dead and turn it into a recognized brand around the world.
We approach the celebration from our very particular Mexican way of paying tribute to life and humanity. We will show the world that we know how to celebrate in peace, cultivating our traditions, developing cultural activities in community and with the best talents of Mexico. We pay tribute to humanity, celebrating the lives of those who are no longer with us in this world.
In the segment Pal’ Panteon: Fiesta y Algarabía, the company, through its creative team, takes the iconography of Jose Guadalupe Posadas as a starting point to show the contemporary Day of the Dead as we know it today. We had under our custody the props (accessories) originally used for the film “Spectre 007”. These props were carefully transformed and intervened by a new team of artists to deliver a Day of the Dead parade, showcasing the holiday with giant puppets, catrinas and music.
